Sony D-5 do not moving optical pickup!
I have a problem with the D-5, the lens assembly cannot move back to its original position when the game stops. When you stop playing at any position, the assembly lens is fixed at that position. Only during playback does the assembly lens move back and start playing.Another problem is that when the playback reaches the last track, the end of the disc, it is very easy to get stuck here if you don't press replay immediately. I checked and fully lubricated! The solution to this stuck problem is that I use a 3v DC source to connect directly to the sled motor (sd +, sd-) after separating the wires on the board. After the assembly lens returns to its starting position, I solder the wire and the machine works normally!
What parts do I have to replace? Please help me!
It seems like your drive chip? Replace it for try. Also check the power supply of the chip. Let me know if you have any update. THX!
