Broken teeth

kaosun Publish time 2015-12-03 12:17:29

For this player, the laser stuck at song 12th. The issue is caused by a broken tooth which stuck at the laser gear so that the laser couldn't move any more when the feedinggear meets the broken tooth.

Hi, recently, when I change Cd-r to Cd, then press play, my D50's spindle motor will speed up the rotating speed, then automatically shut off. However when when I restart, it becomes normal. Is this problem easy to solved?

There's a gold pin inside on upper cover. It's close to your left hand. Lubricate it by a drop of WD40 and open/close for several times then try playing.

I tried, but sometimes it still occured, and its volume switch has some problems, if you play the music while its body is cold, it will make very loud cracking sound at the right side channel of headphones, which is very dangerous to my ear and headphones, so do I have to pay the maintain cost of my D50? if yes, I will cancel it and tell me how to fix

If you're talking about the D50 I repaired last time, I had lubricated it(replaced and lubricated if my member serves me well). If the noise appears when you're adjusting it, VR issue. If you can hear noise via line out as well, circuit issue. If you're talking about another D50, try lubricate the VR at first.

I have a sony Discman D350 needs a fully repair, here's its problem:
1. It cannot read the last track include 12th, 13, 14, 15 and so on.
2.the laser diode need replacement.
3. It cannot work with 2 AA size batteries.
4. The battery case's metal conjunction point was broken.5. Some CDs will skip and cannot play.
6. If you using Sony's original adapter, it wouldn't read the cd properly and the motor is keep spinning.
7. The 9v input connect port is poor of conduct.
8. It has a little bit similar sound issue with the Seiko phx-51cdxp.
Last year I try my best to fix it, but still not effective, and it makes me going mad. So I desperate on this D350, please help me to fix all the problems that I described, and could you make the repair cost cheaper, please, thank you!

If we go back to the original topic of broken teeth, is there a solution?? Head-Fiers also mentioned the problem of a "middle gear" (sounds like someone from a Fairy Tale), so is it a dead end? You left the topic in mid-air, as if there is a chance... :o

1: Replace it if you can find a same one.
2: Use the gear underneath of the broken one because the two layers of the gears they're identical.
3: Repair the broken tooth but may not strong enough.
