Hi,

I'm a newbie in repairing old DiscMan. I've solve mechanicals problems on d-15 et D-2 but i've problems with some d33.
When i check the TP (avcc) on the board i can't reach the 4,3-4,6V even when i turn the pot RV 401.
The DiscMan turn, the lens move at the start. Lubrification ok, motor checks, lens cleaned.
I think the problem is on capacitor or transistor (lens ?)but i'dont know exactly where. I try to check some component but perhaps it's the common problem. Anybody have seen this (and solve it ) ? (I've also seen this on a d-2).

Thanks

GB

Don't care about it too much. Pls measure the voltage input of MPC1715 pin4 and pin 30. Be aware of the protection diode connected on the ground line. If you connect your black  lead of your multi-meter to DC jack, you connect the protection diode. So I suggest your black lead should connect the system ground instead of DC jack.
