Laser movement issue, sound unbalance and others

Hi, I've had some issues with my Sony D-303, so I'm asking for advice.

The first is some strange behaviour of the laser. Sometimes it focuses correctly and plays the CD, but other times it moves rapidly up and down, making a loud clicking sound, and fails to play. I have to try several times until it focuses correctly.

The second problem is that when using the AC adapter, the left channel is noticeably louder than the right channel through the headphone output. This does not happen using AA batteries. It also does not happen through the line output.

Other known issues are the motor, which I am due to replace, as well as the flat carbon cable for the LCD screen.

It is worth mentioning that I have already replaced the SMD capacitors.
