     I have a Sony discman D-10 that is working properly. One day, while playing music, suddenly stopped playing for unknown reasons. When you press PLAY, the LCD screen only shows "00" and turns off after a few seconds.
When I checked, I discovered Diodes D813, D817 was broken and showed signs of PCB peeling. I have replaced 1SS123 with BAV199, RD12M-B2 with 1N4148. But the situation remained unchanged, I observed that when "PLAY" the spindle motor and laser pickup motor were not moving.
Please ask me which parts should be tested and replaced? Thank you!

Replacing the burnt diodes is necessary. Then:
1: Check CPU outputs "power on" signal to DC-DC circuit;
2: DC-DC circuit generates +5V and -5V. If +5V disappears, no motor action just like your case; if no -5V, no audio.
3: For detail, you can find the service manual from our website.

Thank you, the problem has been solved! Now It can play music back as before  but I found out there is a noise with the music, the "background" is not clean! I have checked all ground and did not find any abnormal! Can i replace the (220uf / 16v) x2, (470uf / 6.3v) x1, (100uf / 10v) x3, (10uf/16v SMD) capacitors? Because on the PCB I see traces of electrolyte leaking out!?

It's unnecessary to replace these caps. That's glue not leaking. Noise is generated by wrong placement of the laser flexible cable.

How did you resolve the reading issue?

I don't know either, I thoroughly clean the PCB and then it works. I upgraded the capacitor and now it's great!
