Hi
Starting situation: the Discman turns on (LCD). The focus search is looping.
The DC/DC converter displays + and - 5.2 volts correctly. Laser and focus potentiometer adjustment is OK. However, the spin doesn't start. I've checked the motor; it's not faulty. Where could the issue be coming from? Thank you.

By default, whatever there's a disc inside of the player or not, the spindle motor will spin, after the laser returns to home point. Pls read again the red info.

I know but it won't spin. When I play with the motor in order to have less tension on the belt the motor turn. so I think there's a problem with mechanics of the plate. Have you see that before. I found a supplement of service manual in German who mention that.

I fixed the problem with blue loctite (in french frein filet) on the gear under plate. Now It's spinning too fast...
