d-10 question and issue

i bought a d-10 from a friend comes with everything cosmetic and the bag looks clean. but i plug the power while the battery is attach i got it turn on but for only a sec i got this a shown in the photo. does anyone know this issue. i have tried almost every trouble shoot

Open the back lid and check the laser gears.

this gear i see has broken tooth, what am looking for? i can manually move the gear with my finger


update - that brown gear has shattered and when i click play the motor run then shut off again

If you lubricate the gear after replacing it, I guess it will play.

so i replace the gear, i lube both the gears and the shaft that run the laser. it has been working for 2 weeks, i left it on the power outlet never unplugged. today, it turns on for a sec and did nothing, i check the gears and move the laser nothing stuck. i even turn on while i see nothing moves. did i maybe break a capasitors or something?

Maybe you lost -5V. Check the output of the DC-DC circuit.
