Hi, my D25/250 spindle has developed a serious wobble and in trying to remove the metallic spindle table lock, I appear to have made it much worse.  Taking apart the unit, the pancake motor is a Sanwa FM6D which I'm having a hard time finding online.  Is there an equivalent motor that works?  Otherwise I'd have to steal one from a D-4 or D-9, which, from pictures online look to be the same parts.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

check out Mabuchi RF-400CA here at SMC Electronics:
SMC Electronics

Mabuchi RF-300 fits D-90, but I think D25 has a smaller spindle motor.
In any case, Kaosun has them all and will be able to fix and calibrate it for you

Hi serge,

Thanks for your reply - and a huge thanks for the suggestion for the SMC Electronics site.  Looks to be a pretty comprehensive site for all-things spindle motor.  I'll give the RF-400CA a try.

If all else fails, I'll know who to send it to for a professional repair.

Hi Kaosun,

Thanks for the information!  My Googling of Sanwa has produced no useful results for a direct match for my motor as they appear mostly to be making RC car motors these days.

I'll update this thread if the Mabuchi RC-400 pans out or not, and if all else fails, I may need your help.

Just for the records, RF-400CA (12265)  has a 2mm diameter shaft, so platter will not fit on it. ;)
